Anderson tipped the favourite alongside AUS Supercross leader Brayton.
Bookmaker Ladbrokes has opened its betting markets for both the SX1 and SX2 categories ahead of this weekend’s Monster Energy AUS-X Open at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.
As the official betting partner for the AUS-X Open even, Ladbrokes has made America’s Jason Anderson the equal favourite for this year’s SX1 class, who finished the 2017 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship in fourth overall and won the final round in Las Vegas.
According to Ladbrokes bookies, 24-year-old Anderson is equally tipped to take out the win at just $3.50, with the American coming off the back of an an incredibly successful season so far in 2017.
Also expected to be at the pointy end of the SX1 class is the reigning Australian supercross champion Justin Brayton, who currently leads the 2017 Aussie series, also coming in at $3.50.
Anderson and Brayton will face fierce competition from Scotland’s Dean Wilson ($5.00), as well as the two-time reigning MX Nationals Australian champion Dean Ferris ($6.00), and former three-time Australian supercross champion Dan Reardon ($9.00).
Kade Mosig and Dylan Long have both secured a podium in this year’s Australian Supercross Championship, while Todd Waters, Luke Clout and Nathan Crawford have all managed to secure solid results too, making this one of the most stacked fields in Australian Supercross racing history along with last-minute US inclusion RJ Hampshire.
In the SX2 class, defending champion Jackson Richardson is tipped to win at $2.75 ahead of Hayden Mellross ($4.00) and Wilson Todd ($4.00), followed by Dylan Wills ($9.00) and Jay Wilson ($9.00).
The 11-12 November event will also run conjunction with rounds four and five of the Australian Supercross Championship, which will prove to be a pivotal weekend in the series.
