Factory Suzuki 250 line-up for 2018 still to be confirmed.
The JGR-operated Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing Team has announced its line-up for 2018, confirming Justin Bogle will join long-time team member Weston Peick for the new seasons of Monster Energy AMA Supercross and Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross.
Bogle, who was a member of the RCH Racing outfit that closed its doors at the conclusion of this season, scored his maiden premier class victory in Pro Motocross this year, and expressed his pleasure of signing on with the newly-appointed sole Suzuki factory effort.
“I’m obviously very excited to be on the team, and I’m beyond thankful for the opportunity,” Bogle commented. “It has been a rough couple of years, but things are starting to turn around. I’m very happy with my program, my training, and my personal life. This is all coming together at the perfect time. Truthfully, I wouldn’t have been ready for this chance two years ago.
“As cliché as it sounds, everything happens for a reason. I have learned from my struggles and have grown as a result. I’m excited to be working with an incredible team of people, and I feel good about our chances in 2018.”
Peick finished eighth in the year’s Pro Motocross series and returns for another year with the team, he mentioned he’s excited to pilot the all-new and highly-anticipated 2018 RM-Z450 in the new year.
“I couldn’t be happier to sign with JGR again for 2018,” said Peick. “They’ve believed in me for several years. I have the utmost confidence that together we accomplish great things, and I plan on continuing my career with them long past 2018. I’m eager to ride the all-new 2018 Suzuki RM-Z450 and begin testing for the upcoming season.”
The pair will debut the new machine at this year’s Monster Energy Cup, which is slated to take place in Las Vegas on 14 October. The team is yet to reveal its 250 line-up for 2018.
