Highly-anticipated model to make first racing appearance this weekend.
Honda HRC MX2’s Michele Cervellin will pilot the factory-spec 2018 Honda CRF250RW at this weekend’s 17th stop of the 2017 MX2 World Championship in Florida, USA.
Cervellin will debut the highly-anticipated model at the WW Motocross Park circuit, and the Italian is feeling extremely confident in the new machine following initial testing.
“I am really looking forward to riding in the US this weekend on the new CRF250RW,” said Cervellin. “I had a really good start to the season in the fly away arounds so I am excited to head overseas again.
“I really like the power of the new bike, it is also much better off of the starts so I think we should be able to get a good start and then a better result from that. I am much better in my physical condition now too so I am confident that I am feeling good in myself and on the new bike.”
Team manager Rodger Harvey is excited of the prospect of debuting the new bike, revealing he’s eager to see how Cervelling performs aboard it in the USA.
“This weekend we debut the all new Honda CRF250RW which we are quite excited about,” Harvey commented. “Miki has been testing the bike over the last few weeks so we are looking forward to seeing how he does in competition at this new to the MXGP calendar Jacksonville track.”
Cervellin currently sits 11th in the championship standings, as the Honda HRC MX2 outfit will only field a sole rider for fly away round this weekend. Australian Jed Beaton is expected to complete his final guest appearance with the factory team at Assen’s penultimate round.
