AME Management has revealed global energy drink company Monster Energy will be the title sponsor of the 2017 AUS-X Open slated to be hosted by Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on 11-12 November.

The partnership will also see the AUS-X logo turned from red to ‘Monster’ green with the Monster Energy logo positioned above, and will have a strong branding presence across all the event’s marketing endeavours.

Monster Energy senior vice president of marketing Marianne Radley spoke of the new partnership, stating it’s a natural move for the company.

“Monster Energy has had a long-standing association with supercross and motocross riders and teams,” said Radley. “Some of the sport’s best riders, like Ricky Carmichael and Chad Reed, all run the iconic M-claw logo. To now be the title sponsor of the AUS-X Open is a natural move for us and we are excited about partnering with the largest action sports event in the Southern Hemisphere.”

Monster Energy has been involved with the AUS-X Open since its inception in 2015, which co-founder and event director Ryan Sanderson believes is a perfect fit for yet another unmissable weekend of racing and entertainment.

“We’re so stoked to have a massive global brand on board as title sponsor of the AUS-X Open and can’t wait to start working with the team to bring our fans the ultimate action sports experience,” Sanderson commented.

“Monster Energy has been with us from the start as a primary sponsor of the fan favourite Pit Party and the FMX ‘Best Trick’ competition. Therefore, the progression to naming rights partner is a perfect fit for both of us as we have the recipe to make the AUS-X Open an unmissable event on the global sporting calendar.”

The third instalment has attracted the likes of Australian fan-favourite Chad Reed, motocross and supercross legend Ricky Carmichael, plus popular AMA front-runners Jason Anderson and Josh Grant amongst Australia’s local talents. The country’s very own FMX legend Robbie Maddison will also make the trip home to attend the event.

This year’s event will also see one million dollars up for grabs to any fan who purchases tickets to both days of the event on 11-12 November, in one of the richest prizes ever offered to Australian sports attendees.

The 2017 AUS-X Open has so far partnered with Monster Energy, Destination NSW, It’s on in Sydney, Ladbrokes, Shannons Insurance, Boost Mobile, X-Drive, Thor MX Australia, Komatsu, Knobby, Yamaha Motor Australia, KTM Australia and Husqvarna Motorcycles Australia.
