Premier class rookie Nathan Crawford believes the resources of being part of the factory-backed Mega Fuels Monster Energy Kawasaki Team will be beneficial in his 2017 Australian Supercross Championship campaign.

The youthful talent is looking to utilise the knowledge of the experienced squad which is operated by multi-time champion Troy Carroll, along with his newly-appointed teammate Dan Reardon, who also has a list of titles in the discipline.

“There’s going to be a lot of things I have access to try this year with supercross that I didn’t last year,” Crawford told MotoOnline.com.au. “This is obviously my first year on a factory team and first year on a 450 – it’s going to be really good.

“Hopefully I’ll be able to use the knowledge of Daniel Reardon being on the team as well, and obviously use the knowledge of the team and what they have for supercross too. Supercross hasn’t always been my strong point, but I really want to be good at it, so I guess that’s all that matters.”

Crawford has been unable to complete a full season of supercross in recent years due to injuries, both occurring prior and during his endeavours in the SX2 division.

The opening round of the 2017 Australian Supercross Championship is scheduled for 23 September, at Jimboomba in Queensland.
