Consistency key in the Victorian's season so far.
DPH Motorsport Yamaha’s Kade Mosig is content to hold a comfortable third position in the overall standings heading into this weekend’s 10th and final round of the Motul MX Nationals at Coolum, Queensland.
Mosig has been ultra-consistent all year long in the highly-competitive MX1 class, which he believes to be key as he enters the weekend’s finale with 21-point advantage over fourth’s Todd Waters (Crankt Protein Honda Racing),
“I’m still happy that I’m holding third down,” Mosig told MotoOnline.com.au. “My consistency has been there this year – that’s what I wanted to work on, I wanted to be consistent.
“I’ve proved all year in a lot of motos that when I get a good start I’m right there with Dean (Ferris) and I can run close to his pace, it’s just been a little too few and far between for me.
“I would’ve liked more consistency up the front, but in saying that, I’ve been working really hard and like I said, I’m happy to be holding third down and just need to focus on riding out the series with two motos to go.”
The Victorian’s best result this season came at Wonthaggi’s opening round, where he raced to a thrilling second overall finish.
