Privateer revelation Richie Evans has been sidelined for the final two rounds of the 2017 Motul MX Nationals in Queensland after sustaining multiple injuries in a local race last weekend.

Evans has established himself as one of the MX2 class’ elite this season, currently ninth in the standings despite limited official support.

It’s understood Yamaha-mounted Evans broke his right hand and left ankle in a crash at Townsville’s opening round of the Queensland championship, undergoing surgery in Brisbane this week and effectively ending his season with the final pair of Queensland-based nationals remaining.
