Verdict:
KTM Motocross Racing Team’s Kirk Gibbs became the first rider to break Dean Ferris’ (CDR Yamaha) dominant six-round winning streak, and claimed his first victory of the season in the process. Race one saw Ferris go down while challenging up front, although he was able to charge back to seventh, before taking a convincing victory in race two to credit him second overall. MEGA Fuels Monster Energy Kawasaki’s continued to display great form aboard his new ride for third, as Todd Waters (Crankt Protein Honda Racing) and Kade Mosig (DPH Motorsport Yamaha) completed the top five with modest performances.

Verdict:
DPH Motorsport Yamaha’s Wilson Todd was able to maintain his championship hopes and briefly extend his lead in the standings after a very consistent 2-2 finish awarded him the overall. Egan Mastin (Davey Motorsports KTM) was second after going 4-1, while race one winner Mitch Evans (Serco Yamaha) narrowly made it onto the podium following a mistake-riddled second outing. A hard charging Kyle Webster (Penrite CRF Honda Racing) posted 3-3 results for fourth, as fellow Western Australian Jayden Rykers (Raceline Pirelli KTM) concluded the weekend fifth. Championship contender Jackson Richardson (Serco Yamaha) was inline for a podium after a strong showing in moto one, although a crash while challenging with the leaders in race two saw him retire from the weekend.
