Belgian rider signs multi-year Monster Energy Kawasaki deal.
Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team has revealed Clement Desalle will remain with the factory outfit throughout the 2018 and 2019 World Motocross Championship seasons after agreeing to a multi-year deal.
Desalle, who initially joined the Japanese manufacturer in 2016, expressed his delight in signing a contract extension, stating he’s happy to build on the developments he’s made with the team in the past 18 months.
“I’m really happy to continue working with Kawasaki as I enjoy my job and the work we do together – it’s good that we reached an agreement to continue working like that,” Desalle commented. “It’s good to sign so early in the season, as at some stage you start thinking about your future.
“Now I can focus entirely on each race and each grand prix to get the best results for all of us. I’m also happy as we have worked hard for one and a half years to develop the bike, which is now really good, and we can stay focused on our common goal which is winning races.”
The Belgian currently sits second in the championship standings following 12 rounds of the MXGP series, with his next outing scheduled for 23 July, in Czech Republic.
