Electric starter and updated settings for revised MX1 contender.
The 2018 Honda CRF450R has been revealed internationally, featuring select updates for the new year following a complete revision of the flagship motocross model for this year.
For 2018 the Honda CRF450R will now feature an electric start system using a lightweight lithium-ion battery as standard right off the showroom floor, after previously being offered as an additional accessory.
The standard electric start system also allows for the removal of the kick-start assembly for 2018, offering valuable weight savings for the updated model. In addition to the electric start offering as standard, the 2018 Honda CRF450R also receives updated settings to both the Showa shock and 49mm spring fork for improved handling.
The 2018 Honda CRF450R also features updated ECU settings to create a smoother and more useable power delivery for increased rider comfort and confidence on-track.
With select updates and revisions confirmed for the 2018 model, the CRF450R will retain great features such as the titanium fuel tank, engine mode select button and a wave-pattern 260mm front brake system.
