Multi-year deal in place for premier class Kawasaki rider.
Eli Tomac and Monster Energy Kawasaki will continue their relationship into 2018 and beyond following an announcement today confirming a contract extension has been signed.
Currently in his second season with the factory Kawasaki squad and now tied with Ryan Dungey for the 2017 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship 450SX points lead, Tomac looks forward to a continued relationship with the team.
“I’m very grateful for the opportunity to stay with Monster Energy Kawasaki,” said Tomac. “The team has put a lot of faith in me over the last year, which has given me the confidence I need to win. We have put in a lot of work and it is good to see it paying dividends.”
Although exact details on the extension are yet to be released, according to Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. president Yoshi Tamura, the manufacturer wanted to ensure that Tomac would be part of the team for multiple years to come.
“Eli Tomac is an exceptional rider and athlete, and has successfully carried on the tradition of dominance with his KX450F,” said Tamura. “Eli epitomises Kawasaki’s commitment to winning and we are very excited to ensure he’ll be part of the Monster Energy Kawasaki team for years to come.”
