Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Eli Tomac has raced to his fifth-straight main event victory at St. Louis’ 13th round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, a FIM World Championship, while Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s Jordan Smith recorded his second-consecutive East Coast 250SX win.

Points leader Ryan Dungey (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) captured the holeshot with Tomac in tow, although it was the factory Kawasaki rider who quickly made work of Dungey, moving into lead and going on to take his eighth win of the season.

Dungey maintained Tomac’s pace for a number of laps, however as the race hit the halfway mark, he would be held up by lapped Australian rider Chad Reed (Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha), ultimately costing him crucial ground on the number three.

Marvin Musquin (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) completed the podium in third, while the top five was rounded out by Jason Anderson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing) and Josh Grant (Monster Energy Kawasaki). Reed salvaged 16th position and currently sits ninth in the championship standings.

In the 250SX East category, Smith fought off points leader Joey Savatgy (Pro Circuit/Monster Energy/Kawasaki) for the top position, replicating the same events that unfolded just one week prior at round 12.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Zach Osborne battled an illness throughout the weekend to claim third, as Dylan Ferrandis (Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha) and Christian Craig (GEICO Honda) finished fourth and fifth respectively.
