Red plate holder seeking fourth-straight win ahead of break.
Finding his groove and rocketing to three-straight wins in the 2017 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship West Coast 250SX division, Justin Hill plans on carrying his momentum through the upcoming Texan round.
This weekend’s Arlington round six marks the final western regional event for the 250SX as the east riders prepare to take over for the next seven rounds of racing, allowing the points leader following this weekend to hold onto the red plate.
With the constant support of Mitch Payton’s ultra-successful Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki outfit, the younger brother of former 450SX winner, Josh Hill, now leads the West Coast 250SX points battle by one marker over Shane McElrath after five rounds of racing.
“I’ve been thankful to stay safe all these weeks,” said Hill. “And I really have to hand it to my team for giving me such great support during the moments where I needed it. Starting the season with a fifth wasn’t where I wanted to be, but now we’ve found our groove and hopefully we can leave Texas with the red plate.”
Following this weekend’s event, the 250SX west riders will return to action on 8 April in Seattle, Washington for round 14 or the 17-round series.
