Pair of Enduro-type format events to kick-off 2017 season.
Dungog has been named host of the opening two 2017 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship rounds in a revised provisional calendar released by Motorcycling Australia (MA) this afternoon.
Originally slated to be contested at Monkerai in New South Wales, last season’s ‘Host Club of the Year’ Dungog will be the venue of rounds one and two, about 20 kilometres south.
“We are very excited to host the first rounds of the year here in Dungog and thought we would kick it off bigger and better and get back to an Enduro format as riders have been calling for this,” said Dungog Motorcycle Club president Trent Lean.
Lean confirmed that the club has acquired council approval for the opening two rounds to be contested in the Enduro format on 8-9 April. The final round of the season in Victoria remains TBA.
