American rejoins Wilson for final Australian supercross rounds.
Crankt Protein Honda Racing fill-in rider, Chris Allredge, will return to racing this weekend in Melbourne for round four of the 2016 Australian Supercross Championship.
After injuring his shoulder on debut for the team in Toowoomba and opting to sit out Adelaide’s third round, the American rider is set to return to the track following one week back on the bike.
“After Toowoomba, we made the call to sit out the next round and it was definitely the right decision,” said Alldredge. “I’ve managed to ride this week and my shoulder is actually feeling pretty strong, so I’m looking forward to getting out there and seeing what we can do,” Alldredge shared.
“I’ve been working with a physio for the past few weeks and even he was surprised with how much progress we’ve made, so we just have to get it to hold up for 20 laps and we’ll be good.”
With three rounds remaining on the 2016 schedule, Alldredge hopes to finish the season strong in the premier SX1 category before returning home.
“I obviously want to finish the job that I was sent over here to do, so these next two rounds are really important,” he added. “I’d love to be able to reward the team with some results before I leave, especially after all the hard work they’ve put in to have me here.”
The Crankt Protein Honda Racing squad will return to their regular two-rider roster this weekend with Allredge set to ride alongside team regular, Jay Wilson.
