Troy Lee Designs' Hoeft to contest final three supercross rounds.
Australia’s KTM Motocross Racing Team has signed American motocross and supercross prodigy Justin Hoeft to replace injured athlete Caleb Ward for the three remaining rounds of the 2016 Australian Supercross Championship.
Hoeft has just come off an illustrious amateur career with the Red Bull Troy Lee Designs KTM team before making his professional debut with the squad at Glen Helen’s USGP last month, where he recorded an impressive sixth place result.
The teenager will race aboard a KTM 250 SX-F as soon as this weekend’s fourth round of the series in Melbourne with KTM Australia’s factory outfit, which will mark his first professional supercross race.
Australian Caleb Ward injured his ankle in the lead-up to his guest appearance at the USGP, which ultimately ruled him out of contesting the Australian Supercross Championship.
