The first round of the Australian Supercross Championship has been run and won, with Iowa rider and long-time Pirelli racer Justin Brayton securing the round 1 win on his Honda CRF450 in front of a big crowd at Jimboomba.
In conditions that ended up hard packed, slick and slippery, Brayton showed the performance available from the Scorpion MX32 Pro 110/90-19 rear in conjunction with the new 80/100-21 SCORPION™ MX32™ Mid Hard front , to take the 20 lap Main event win. Brayton also won his heat race, while also recording the fastest race lap time in the main with an impressive 48.98 lap.
Pirelli riders also filled many of the placings on the night in the SX1 class, with Todd Waters (Wilsons Cool Air Motul Suzuki) 4th using Scorpion MX32 front and Scorpion MX32 Pro rear, with Will Hahn 5th (NPE Monster Energy Kawasaki) and teammate Kade Mosig in 6th.
In the SX2 class, Gavin Faith also took the Main event win using the same tyre combination from Pirelli, with the Scorpion MX32 front and Scorpion MX32 Pro rear also featuring with many privateer riders in the SX2 class for top ten results.

The Australian Supercross Championship now moves to round 2 at Toowoomba on 14 October.
