MXoN heading to iconic San Bernardino circuit for 2017.
Glen Helen Raceway has been officially announced as the host location for the 2017 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations event.
Youthstream president, Giuseppe Luongo, looks forward to bringing the event back to America for the first time since 2010 when the Motocross of Nations were held at Thunder Valley in Colorado.
“Since many years Glen Helen has been a devoted partner,” said Luongo. “I am delighted to be able to continue this strong partnership, it’s a real pleasure working together with Bud Feldkamp and his staff.
“USA is an important country for motocross and it’s fabulous to be returning to Glen Helen with the best motocross event of the year. The American fans are fantastic and deserve to have this unique event in their country and to be able to support their powerful team.’
Feldkamp, president of Glen Helen Raceway, understands the significance of hosting the prestigious event for the first time in Southern California.
“Myself and the entire Glen Helen staff are extremely excited to host the 2017 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations,” Feldkamp said. “The opportunity to welcome the world of motocross to our back yard in Southern California, for the first time in its 70 year history, is something that we do not take lightly at Glen Helen.
“Thank you to the FIM, AMA, and particularly Youthstream for giving us this honour. I look forward to doing everything in my power to make this a truly historic motocross event for all the teams and fans from around the world.”
The 2017 Glen Helen Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations is scheduled to take place on 1 October, 2017.
