Verdict:
CDR Yamaha’s Dean Ferris edged a step closer to gaining the championship lead with his second-consecutive overall victory at Conondale. The former MXGP rider put his experience to use on the challenging circuit, outclassing the field in the second moto to wrap up the win. Todd Waters was on track for a successful day following a convincing win in moto one, however a crash on lap one in moto two forced the Queensland-based rider to work his way through the pack. Conditions were less than ideal for series leader Kirk Gibbs, who is currently overcoming a knee injury. He was able to stay consistent throughout the day, salvaging third overall. Kade Mosig showcased his potential with a third in race one, although he would come up just shy of the podium at the conclusion of the day. Jacob Wright also scored his best result of the year, rounding out the top five. With Matt Moss out on the weekend, it now looks to be a three-rider race for the title.

Verdict:
The tricky conditions at Conondale saw mixed results between both motos in the MX2 category, with Jed Beaton remaining the most consistent between the trio of himself, Nathan Crawford and Caleb Ward, racing to the overall win with a 2-1 scorecard. Series leader Crawford dominated the opening moto, however a poor start in moto two saw him push through the pack with Ward in tow. Crawford could only muster up a fourth for second overall, however he still carries the red plate by seven points. Western Australian Jayden Rykers bounced back from a sixth in moto one, to securing a comfortable second in race two. He was awarded third overall, narrowly edging title favourite Ward by one point. Wilson Todd was also impressive throughout race two, although a DNF in moto one denied him the chance of scoring a solid overall placing.
