MX2 World Championship leader sets sights on Loket.
Red Bull KTM’s Jeffrey Herlings broke his collarbone in the Dutch Masters last weekend, but has already undergone surgery and will likely compete at the Grand Prix of Czech Republic at Loket on 24 July.
Herlings made headlines on Monday when news broke of the runaway MX2 World Championship leader’s latest injury, however it’s not expected to affect his championship bid too much across the final six rounds.
Last season Herlings broke his collarbone at Teutschenthal and returned two weeks later in similar circumstances, so considering he has a 169-point buffer in the points race, if he doesn’t make the gates at Loket then he should almost certainly be at Lommel the following week.
