Unsung performances that caught our attention on Sunday.

MotoOnline.com.au highlights three standout performances from the weekend’s sixth round of the 2016 Motul MX Nationals at Nowra in New South Wales. Radar isn’t strictly about the winners, it’s about the unsung racers that we spot performing above expectations on any given race weekend.

Corey James (Yamaha) – MX1, 8th overall:
Little-known New South Wales privateer Corey James was in amongst the heavyweights of the MX Nationals premier class within the top 10 at Nowra, claiming ninth in moto one and eighth in the second. That resulted in eighth overall and ahead of a bunch of series regulars, indicating he has what it takes to race fulltime if that’s where his career takes him.

Keiron Hall (Yamaha) – MX2, 6th overall:
We’re becoming accustomed to Keiron Hall standing out each and every time he’s on the MX2 start gates. And as he did one year ago, Nowra showcased just how much potential he has for a part-timer in the sport. Hall was seventh in both hit-outs, good enough to be credited sixth for the round on his privateer YZ250F.

Wade Kirkland (Raceline Pirelli KTM) – MXD, 1st overall:
As part of the high-profile Raceline Pirelli KTM squad, Wade Kirkland delivered victory for the first time on Sunday in a consistent fashion. The class rookie crossed the line third in the opening moto before going onto clinch the race and round victories second time out. He now sits second in the series and 18 points outside of the lead.
