Park4MX to host Jay Jennings fundraiser ride day

Australian motocross community bands together to help young Tasmanian.

Cheyne Boyd’s Yamaha Park4MX is set to host the ‘Ride for JROC’ fundraiser ride day on 18 June to support seven-year-old Jay Jennings and his family as he fights a rare form of liver cancer.

Jay, the son of Brody Jennings from ‘3ZERO MX Coaching’ based out of Tasmania, is currently receiving treatment at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, forcing the family of six to relocate to Victoria during this challenging time.

In order to combat the cost and financial stresses involved in Jay’s treatment, Cheyne Boyd, Sam Moore of FIST Handwear and former Fox Australia marketing manager Mick Sinclair have organised the event of which all proceeds will go directly to the Jennings family.

“It’s times like this when the Australian Motocross Community rally together to support one of our own,” said Sinclair. “The Jennings family would do everything in their power to help someone out if it was the other way around so we’ve got to do all we can for them during this dark period.

“The Ride for JROC event will be huge with Park4MX being the perfect venue for it. The list of memorabilia up for grabs is like no other so come down with deep pockets and pick up some great pieces from the best riders in the business.”

The Ride for JROC fundraiser rider day will include a raffle featuring prizes such as a Yamaha TTR 50, GT BMX bike, Fox gear, POD MX knee braces and a one year supply of FIST gloves.

A memorabilia auction will also take place on the day giving bidders the chance to win the exact Fox gear worn by Ken Roczen and Ryan Dungey at the 2016 Hangtown Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season opener, plus signed items from the likes of Chad Reed, Ricky Carmichael, Valentino Rossi, Travis Pastrana, Cam Sinclair and more.

Gates open at 10.00am with the the raffle and auction kicking off at 1.00pm.
