Enjoyable MXGP appearances the plan for Australian motocross icon.
Making select appearances on the 2016 FIM Motocross World Championship calendar, Monster Energy/360fly/Chaparral/Yamaha Factory Racing’s Chad Reed has expressed his excitement ahead of the European excursion.
The Australian motocross icon first made his presence known on the world motocross scene in 2001 when at just 19 years of age he claimed second overall in the 250cc championship with factory Kawasaki.
Reed expressed his excitement for the trip in which he will contest the British Grand Prix at Matterley Basin on 18-19 June and the Grand Prix of Lombardia in Italy on 25-26 June.
“I have always valued my one and only year in Europe and I’m so excited to come back after all these years,” said Reed. “I briefly mentioned it on social media and many UK and European fans have shown lots of enthusiasm so that in return makes it a ton of fun for me.”
Aside from select Motocross of Nations performances inside Europe, Reed’s 2016 MXGP appearances will mark his first official European MXGP races in 15 years. It’s unknown at this point in time which Yamaha squad he will join for the two rounds.
