Dutchman will spend at least one more year in 250 class.
Red Bull KTM’s two-time MX2 World Champion Jeffrey Herlings will remain in the 250cc division for another season in 2016, he announced via social media overnight.
The Dutchman was considering a transfer to MXGP next season, however with doctors not yet clearing him to commence riding again he’s decided to stick to MX2 in a bid third for a third title in five years.
Herlings’ decision cements Red Bull KTM’s 2016 line-up with Herlings, Pauls Jonass and Davy Pootjes in MX2, while Antonio Cairoli and Glenn Coldenhoff will feature in MXGP.
