As part of the family friendly atmosphere of round three of the Penrite sponsored 2015 Australian Supercross Championship presented by Energy Logistix at Adelaide Showground on October 31, event organisers are inviting young race-goers to get into the Halloween spirit.

A special feature of the Adelaide Supercross will be a Halloween costume contest, which will be judged by South Australia’s international Supercross star, Brett Metcalfe, who is jetting home from California to contest the race.

The Halloween costume contest will be open to any young fan who attends the event dressed in their favourite trick-or-treat costume.

A select group of finalists will be chosen from the audience, with Brett Metcalfe then selecting the winner and presenting them with their prize in front of the crowd.

The winner and his/her family will receive a VIP family experience to the Sprint Auto Parts Monster Slam monster truck event being held at Adelaide Showground on February 13, 2016.

“Supercross is a family friendly sport and we expect a large part of the crowd at the event will be young families,” explains Adelaide Supercross organiser, Mark Gilbert, who is co-promoting the event with Scott Anderson.

“Given October 31 is Halloween, and given Brett Metcalfe will be away from his family back in California, as will visiting American racers Jimmy Decotis and Gavin Faith and Venezuela’s Anthony Rodriguez, we thought we could have some fun and recognise one of their biggest holidays of the year by staging a Halloween costume contest.”

The non-stop schedule of high-flying action at the Adelaide Supercross will see gates open at 3pm, then all the fun of the pit party kicks off from 4.30pm, while the gates drop on the first races at 6pm.
