Aussie Junior Trophy team member puts himself on the map.
It was an individual performance of the ages for KTM Enduro Racing Team’s Daniel Sanders at last week’s International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Kosice, Slovakia, winning the Enduro 3 classification overall.
Sanders, who was part of the winning Australian Junior Trophy team, leapt up the E3 order individually this year, cementing himself as a world class racer on board the 300 EXC.
“Things have come together this week better than I hoped they would,” Sanders said. “Last year I was 20th overall and sixth or seventh in Enduro 3, so to jump to be the Enduro 3 class winner is pretty amazing.
“I had two big crashes during the week, but my bike’s been amazing. I was lucky to walk away from the first of those crashes. It’s been a tough week, but to walk away with the Enduro 3 class win is amazing.”
In the 2015 Australian Off-Road Championship season, Sanders finished fourth Outright and second in the E3 division behind dominant KTM teammate Toby Price.
