Verdict:
It was a case of blink and you’ll miss the action at Toowoomba across all classes. Mosig was dominant on paper, deservedly so, but if you managed to catch the action then you’ll know it was entertainment galore. The down-to-the wire battle between Kade and Townley in moto one was a nail-biter, on a track that the part-time Kiwi went on to label a “real motocross” track at its technical best. In moto two we saw the likes of Townley, Super Pole winner Long, Monea and Mosig lead at times, much to the delight of the crowd in the stadium-like layout of the venue, however again Mosig managed to cross the finish at the front when it counted. Mosig, Monea and Townley were the ones on the podium when all was said and done, while Reardon and Gibbs almost flew beneath the radar with their moto rostrums. Gibbs wasn’t able to wrap it up on Sunday, and while he likely will in race one at Coolum, the fight for the runner-up and third will provide much excitement in itself.

Verdict:
It’s hard to believe that Toowoomba was Wilson’s first-career MX2 overall win, which couldn’t have come at a better possible time. Wilson entered the round with a three-point advantage and left 21 ahead of defending champion Clout, who was hampered by bike troubles all day at round nine. After copping some flack as Team Australia’s MXoN MX2 representative, Wilson was on a mission at Toowoomba regardless of Clout’s troubles, proving a point that he has that red plate for a reason. The racing was incredible yesterday, with many riders taking their turn on top during the motos, both on four-strokes and two-strokes. Katsuya’s moto one win against the kids was masterful in itself, while Ward literally enjoyed finishing third overall after a tough weekend at Nowra. Wills was also impressive again, as was Crawford, Beaton and more, indicating that this year’s MX2 class has a fantastic mixture of depth throughout the field.
