Active8 Yamalube Yamaha’s Josh Green has claimed the 2015 Australian Off-Road Championship victory in the E1 class (250cc) after another imposing performance at round 11 of the championship held at Dungog today.

Only needing just two points to lock down the championship, Green did what he has done all year and dominate the E1 category taking another round win and claim the 2015 championship with a round to spare.

Green has been the class of the E1 field in 2015 and has won all 11 rounds contested so far and with the 12th and final round to go tomorrow, Green will be looking for a clean sweep of the championship and write is name in the record books for a perfect AORC season.

“It’s been a great year for myself and the Active8 Yamaha team,” states the victorious Green. “As soon as I jumped on the new WR250F, I gelled with it right away and it has proven to be a great race bike in the AORC and I’m really proud of what myself and the team have achieved this year.

“Racing a full season of the AORC, as well as some desert races, requires a lot of people to make it work so a huge thank you to AJ Roberts and the Active8 Yamaha team and our sponsors, the organizers of the AORC and the clubs that host the rounds as well as the series sponsors who enable these events to run.

“It would be nice to win every round this year but tomorrow I just want to enjoy the race and have some fun and if I win it, then that’s awesome,” Green ends. The partnership between the Active8 Yamaha team and Green has been a successful one with a real connection between team manager, AJ Roberts and Green.

“It was a great way to win the championship by winning today so congratulations to Josh on an awesome season. We have worked together for the past few years and I really respect the effort and professionalism he puts into his racing and it shows in his results.

“This is the second year in a row we have won the E1 class at the AORC with Tom McCormack taking the championship last year for us. It shows that Yamaha produce an amazing 250cc fourstoke as last year we raced the YZ-F and this year it was the WR-F.

“We still have a round to go tomorrow and hopefully secure a good result for Beau Ralston in the E2 so all celebrations will be on hold until we get that done,” AJ explains.
