Verdict:
Nowra will be remembered for a variety of reasons; the return of Dan Reardon in victory land and Dylan Long’s first MX1 race win/overall podium. Craig Dack will be satisfied with both CDR Yamahas on the podium, as will Troy Carroll with the ‘arrival’ of Long just three rounds into their partnership. The track produced close racing, typically one-lined and difficult to pass on, but it was entertaining in its own way nonetheless. Kade Mosig now has a 50 percent podium strike-rate for the season with four from eight, extending his advantage on Adam Monea for third in the standings while closing on Luke Styke in the process. Styke wasn’t as high up the order as he’d like after struggling with starts, even though he made Super Pole for the first time, and Gibbs wasn’t a real factor for the win in either moto despite scoring Super Pole. Interestingly, he still managed to stretch his points lead due to the five qualifying points! Aside from that it was a relatively quiet day – Penrite Honda’s hopes dashes with the Ben Townley injury, but Cody Cooper did manage to lead in moto two.

Verdict:
MX2 was the best class to watch all day yesterday, as Luke Clout returned to the top of the podium and halved the difference in points between he and Jay Wilson from six to three. This is going down to the wire. Dylan Wills was supremely impressive on Sunday and continues to gain strength, working closely with Matt Moss and the results are showing. He could have won the overall save for a crash in moto one while at the front, but he managed to bounce back in the second for a commanding victory – executing a spectacular pass on Clout along the way. It was a mixed bag throughout the races for many, but one rider to standout was Keiron Hall in his national return for sixth overall and once again displaying his national-level skills. Nathan Crawford stood out with second in race one, Geran Stapleton had good speed and Jack Simpson also ran near the front at times. As for Caleb Ward, he was unable to gel with the track, finishing all the way down in P11 overall.
