Penrite Honda Racing’s Ben Townley has been injured in MX1 qualifying during Nowra’s eighth round of the 2015 MX Nationals this morning.

Townley, who had just committed to the final three rounds of the series, has injured his shoulder in an awkward fall during the session’s opening laps – the extent of that damage not yet confirmed.

It’s been made official that Townley won’t return to action today. There’s been no word on his scheduled appearance with New Zealand in next month’s Ernee, France, Motocross of Nations event.
