Verdict:
Series leader Gibbs delivered the South Australian fans exactly what they wanted with a home round win, via a solid 1-2 scorecard that extended his championship lead to a comfortable 39 points. We finally saw the true Monea as he won Super Pole, finished fourth in moto one and won the second outing in style after overcoming Gibbs. That result has boosted him to third in the standings behind Gibbs and teammate Styke, who never really featured on Sunday for sixth. The CDR Yamahas of Reardon (third overall) and Mosig (fourth) were in the mix most of the day, but fell short of the top spots in both motos. There are multiple guys capable of winning at the moment, but Gibbs is the guy who keeps on delivering moto wins and overall podiums – that type of form is hard to beat in a championship.

Verdict:
Anybody that doubted Ward’s ability to win on a four-stroke was silenced at Murray Bridge as he battled to both moto wins upon return from a knee injury that has sidelined him since the Appin round. Behind Ward, Arbon came good for second overall with 2-2 finishes, in a result that should finally turn his season around. And on the podium for the third time this year, Katsuya did his title hopes a world of good in third overall on a day that his main opposition faltered. Clout raced through pain from a qualifying crash to salvage his red plate in 10th overall, while Beaton was 21st after a second moto DNF and Wilson had a mixed day for sixth. Aside from the title threats, there were a number of standouts – Hunter, Webster, Graham, Stapleton and Porter to name a few.
