MotoOnline.com.au looks ahead to Sunday's MXN action.
Murray Bridge will host round four of the 2015 MX Nationals, Australian Motocross Championship, as MotoOnline.com.au previews the fourth stop of the season in our revamped Fan Guide.
Form guide
The favourites:
Kirk Gibbs (MX1) – In what is the red plate holder’s home round, Gibbsy will rise in front of family and friends, as he did last year with the overall. Expect him to stretch his points buffer at the front.
Luke Clout (MX2) – The defending champion was on a tear at Broadford three weeks ago and just has to rate as the favourite for South Australia. He was fourth last year, but should win this time around.
The threats:
Luke Styke (MX1) – Murray Bridge was the only round Styke didn’t win on his way to the 2013 MX2 crown, but coming off a stunning overall at Broadford including the opening moto win, his form is red hot.
Jed Beaton (MX2) – Beaton was off the podium in MXD last year in SA, but don’t let that worry you – the kid has speed to burn. As long as he gets out of the gates then he’ll be in with a shot of winning the round.
The darkhorses:
Dan Reardon (MX1) – Luck hasn’t been on Reardon’s side in his comeback to the sport, however fourth time out the dust is settling on his return and by now we know we can expect front-running pace week in, week out. Get it all together on the one day and he’s a contender.
Luke Arbon (MX2) – Last year Arbon amazed onlookers with a breakthrough win and although his form to date in 2015 has been down, you can’t count him out on home soil. Another win could kick-start his season once and for all.
