Brown and Milesevic split moto victories at Broadford.
The first round of the Yamaha Australian Women’s Motocross Championship has been run and won at round three of the MX Nationals at Broadford over the weekend.
After a period of separation, the MX Nationals and the women once again came together and showcased the girl’s depth of talent at one of the toughest tracks on the MX Nationals calendar.
In moto one Australia’s defending champion Yamaha’s Maddy Brown went to battle early in the race with local Victorian Emma Milesevic (Yamaha), Brown eventually taking the race win ahead of Milesevic and fellow Yamaha rider Tayla Jones.
In race two Brown and Milesevic once again went head-to-head for close to 15 minutes, before Brown went down causing Milesevic to inherit the race lead. With Brown down, the opportunity to claim second was handed to current enduro rider Jones, with Brown crossing the line in third closely behind.
At the conclusion of the Women’s opening round of their two round championship, the entire podium was owned by Yamaha riders. Milesevic claimed the top step ahead of Brown in second and Jones in third respectively.
