Shoulder and back injuries sideline BTOSports KTM rider.
Team BTOSports KTM’s Justin Brayton will skip the upcoming rounds of Monster Energy AMA Supercross after sustaining injuries at the Anaheim 2 round last weekend.
Brayton suffered shoulder and back injuries during a heat race crash on Saturday, which will force him out of the next few rounds after consulting with doctors this week.
“Got some good and bad news at the doc,” Brayton confirmed via social media. “I’m gonna miss a few weeks of racing due to a grade three AC separation to my shoulder and three vertebrae fractures to the T5, 6, and 7 in my back.
“I’m gonna do everything I can to be back at the races real soon – just glad it’s not worse. Thanks to the whole [BTOSports] team and all my sponsors for their support.”
Brayton is currently 18th in the 450SX standings through three rounds after missing the A2 main event, with his best finish to date a 13th at the season opener.
The team has since confirmed it will not be fielding a fill-in rider during his absence.
