Second round of state series takes place at the Marshall's in Dundas.
Team Motul Suzuki’s Matt Moss kept to his winning form in the Dundas round of the 2014 Motorex Queensland Supercross Championship on Saturday, topping the Pro Open main event in convincing fashion.
After splitting heat race wins with teammate Lawson Bopping, the pair went 1-2 in the 12-lap final, with Moss crossing the line 5.202s ahead of Bopping and Kirk Gibbs (KTM Motocross Racing Team).
Yamaha-mounted privateer Daniel McCoy was fourth after winning the Dash for Cash earlier in the night, while the top five was completed by state-based racer Damien Harrison.
In the Pro Lites main, 16-year-old Wilson Todd (GYTR Yamaha) claimed victory, heading Jay Wilson (Serco Yamaha), Jesse Madden (Yamaha), Brock McLeary (KTM) and Luke Clout (Serco Yamaha), who recovered from a slow start in the main.
GYTR Yamaha’s Hunter Lawrence made his debut for Yamaha Junior Racing on a YZ250F in the Junior Lites class. Lawrence was in fine form and won each of the three races contested and looks to have really gelled with his new ride.
The final round of the series will take place at Jimboomba on 6 December. Visit www.qldsupercross.com for further information.
