Runner-up secures Australia's Strang second in the standings.
KTM Racing’s Kailub Russell concluded his winning Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series in style with a victory in the AMSOIL Ironman at Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Russell managed to take victory on a KTM 150cc two-stroke to round out the season, a stunning performance ahead of Australian Josh Strang (Rocky Mountain ATV/MC N-Fab AmPro Yamaha).
Strang’s runner-up secured him second in the standings as well for 2014, now heading directly to Argentina to represent Australia in the International Six-Day Enduro (ISDE).
The Ironman was a difficult event for Australia’s Daniel Milner, credited 19th after completing just two laps on Sunday due to damaging his front brake caliper in contact with a lapped rider.
In the Women’s category Tayla Jones rode her KTM to victory, winning comfortably from Rachel Gutish and Jessica Patterson in her second appearance of the season.
Stay tuned for full report to come.
