Bopping returns to Suzuki's factory squad for supercross.
Team Motul Suzuki has officially announced the signing of Lawson Bopping alongside Matt Moss when the 2014 Australian Supercross Championship commences today at Bathurst Showgrounds.
Bopping last rode for the Jay Foreman-run team in 2010, but has secured a return to Suzuki’s factory team following two years at CDR Yamaha. He also completed a limited schedule in the MX Nationals this year with SIC Racing on a Kawasaki.
“It’s really great to rejoin Team Motul Suzuki and I’m excited Jay Foreman has given me the opportunity to ride alongside Matt,” Bopping commented. “It’s good to be back on the Suzuki and I have had one all along at home this year, so it was a pretty straightforward transition for supercross.
“The 2015 model is such an awesome bike to ride and I’m really enjoying every lap I do on it. The bike is great, the team is obviously extremely good, so I am just excited to get racing. Hopefully I can deliver strong results during the season.”
Confirmation of Bopping joining Suzuki sees him enter the season as a true title threat following a number of glowing performances on board a privateer RM-Z450 in the US earlier this year.
Both Moss and Bopping will contest the five-round supercross series riding Suzuki’s brand new 2015 model RM-Z450.
