The Australian Supermoto Championship sponsored by Crushtek makes its return to the Whitsunday Raceway, Proserpine, on 13-15 June.

The 2014 Crushtek Australian Supermoto championship sees current premier class champion Andy McLeish make a return after competing in European supermoto races. Returning home with a broken wrist, McLeish will have to be on top of his game with current Queensland podium finishers, Beau Laing, Jarrod Koppe and Mick Kirkness all in form entering the round.

As well as the best supermoto riders in the country, there will be some familiar names taking to the track; Troy Bayliss, Garry McCoy and Chris Vermeulen have all signed up to race. McCoy was recently spotted at the track getting in some practice for the event, while Bayliss has been out on the oil-track or kart-track at every available opportunity.

With all national titles up for grabs, the action will be frantic across all classes, from the premier S2 class, to the newcomers in the clubman class, there are also classes for junior riders as well as the open women’s class.

The fastest riders from the weekend will be eligible to compete in the no-holds barred, one-off dash-for-cash feature race. The peg draw format makes for an interesting race and ensures the winner is truly deserving of a share of the $2500 purse.

The racing action will be complemented by the spectacular Hot Wheels Stuntz Inc stunt show, as Matt Mingay will wow the crowd with burnouts, wheelies and flames when he takes to the track.

The 2014 Crushtek Australian Supermoto Championship begins with practice on Friday, 13 June, with racing beginning on Saturday and concluding on the Sunday.
