KTM Enduro Racing Team rider Peter Boyle rebounded from a DNF in round five of the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) to win Sunday’s sixth stop of the season in the E1 ranks.

Boyle was challenging for an Outright podium on Saturday until an electrical problem halted his progress, however Sunday was dominated by Boyle aboard his 250 EXC-F on his way to the E1 victory and ninth Outright.

“We had a DNF yesterday when we were going really well and challenging for a second Outright, but the 250s got left behind a little bit today,” Boyle said. “Class-wise though, I was in front the whole day just trying to keep it upright and it worked.”

Boyle has had a steady start to his fulltime campaign with the factory KTM outfit, but is gaining confidence and momentum at the halfway point of the season.

“I’m just feeling a bit more comfortable on the bike and feel like it’s really sorted for me,” he added. “I’ve got a bit more work to do to really go after that class win, but we’re only halfway through so there’s plenty of time to catch up now that I’ve got the bike sorted and I’m really looking forward to that second half.”

The win marked Boyle’s second of the season, now third in the standings and 27 points from Active8 Yamaha’s Tom McCormack.
