Swede to join Green and McCormack as E2 rider for 2014.
Swedish racer Stefan Granquist has been added to the three-rider Active8 Yamaha team for the 2014 Australian Off-Road Championship and Four Day Enduro.
Granquist will partner previously announced duo Josh Green and Tom McCormack in the factory-supported team, riding a WR450F in E2.
“The step up in support from AJ [Roberts] and the Active8 Yamaha team has been amazing,” Granquist said. “Just having another set of eyes and hands on deck as well as some advice is a huge benefit and one that I will take advantage of.
“I’m also excited to be on board the WR450F for 2014. I really gel well with the bike and I love riding it. The Active8 Yamaha team has plenty of knowledge about the bike after Josh raced it in 2013 and I look forward to a great year with Yamaha and the team.”
Granquist will make his debut with the Active8 Yamaha team aboard a YZ250 alongside YZ250F-mounted McCormack this weekend at the opening round of the Australian Enduro-X at Archerfield Speedway in Brisbane.
Green meanwhile is currently healing for a recent arm injury sustained in a high-speed crash while preparing for the Finke Desert Race.
