Experienced Australian Daniel McCoy (pictured) will contest the British Arenacross series, which commences this weekend at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena in Ireland.

Former national supercross number two McCoy, 29, will ride for the MBO Sport ASA Scaffolding Yamaha team during the six-round series.

“I watch the [British] motocross championship on Foxtel and there is a lot of good talent and the tracks look unreal,” McCoy commented. “Of course I’ve also checked out all the online edits from the 2013 Arenacross series and it looks like lots of fun – the crowds seem to get right into it and I can’t wait.”

McCoy arrived in the UK late last week in preparation for the series, but is uncertain what to expect when the gates drop on Friday night.

“To be honest I’ve no idea what to expect,” he admitted. “It looks like the start is so important so I’ll be working hard on that.”

McCoy is slated to return to Australia in March, recently confirmed to be campaigning the MX2 class with TM Racing Australia (click here for details).

South Australian Luke Arbon will also be on track in British Arenacross, confirmed to be riding for the high profile Buildbase Honda outfit.
