Victorian Peter Boyle has quickly settled into his role as Motorex KTM Off Road Racing’s E1 Class contender, excited to make the full-time conversion to off-road competition.

Boyle campaigned an under-resourced part-time season in 2013, winning the Melbourne Enduro-X event and finishing third in the Hattah Desert Race. It was those rides that put him on the KTM radar.

A limited schedule in the Australian Off Road Championship (AORC) saw Boyle finish ninth overall in E1, plus he scored third in the E1 ranks of the Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE) on his way to sixth Outright.

Now a factory KTM rider alongside Toby Price and world champion Matthew Phillips, Boyle will contest the AORC, A4DE, Enduro-X, Hattah and Finke in 2014.

“I’m over the moon,” Boyle said. “I’m really grateful about the opportunity [Brad Williscroft] and KTM have given me to work with a great team and I’m really looking forward to next year.

“I hope I can really perform and bring some results to the table. The KTM 250 EXC-F feels awesome; it has great power and just handles really well and I’m feeling confident and comfortable on it already.

“I feel like I can get some results with it. I know both my new teammates well and get along awesome with them so there should be some good times to come.”

The team will compete with the 2014 model KTM 250 EXC-F next year, reverting to the off-road model after Ben Burrell rode a 250 SX-F during 2013.

Boyle’s official debut with Motorex KTM will come at the Enduro-X opener in Brisbane on Sunday, 2 February 2014.
