AVE suspends ASX television schedule as legal battle ensues

Television coverage of the second half of the 2013 Australian Supercross Championship has been suspended, production company AVE has confirmed.

Television coverage of the second half of the 2013 Australian Supercross Championship has been suspended, production company AVE has confirmed.

The coverage for Phillip Island and Toowoomba’s rounds “will not be aired until IEG for fill its contractual agreement with AVE Pty Ltd”, according to an announcement by AVE this morning.

“AVE P/L understands the disappointment and effect that this will have on the sport, race teams, sponsors, TV Networks and race fans,” the announcement said.

“It is regrettable that it has got to this stage, however IEG has not been able to meet payment schedules along with too many false promises has left AVE P/L with no other alternative than to stop production and commence legal action.

“Once rectified AVE P/L will make the shows available for broadcast.”

International Entertainment Group (IEG) managing director Yarrive Konsky was unwilling to comment due to “legal reasons” when contacted by MotoOnline.com.au this afternoon.
