Carlton Dry Honda Racing’s Gavin Faith is on target to successfully defend his Australian Supercross Lites Championship at tomorrow’s final round in Toowoomba, Queensland.

Riding the 2014 CRF250R, Faith will enter the round with a slender five-point advantage in the series over new outdoor champion Luke Styke.

After sweeping the Phillip Island double-header last month and reversing the tables on Styke, Faith is in a confident frame of mind entering Toowoomba.

“I am feeling good and healthy,” Faith said. “I kept to the same training program even when I went back to the USA.

“We won’t be doing anything differently this weekend – I will go in with the same approach, to try and win.

“The main focus for me is to ride it as I know how. If everything goes smooth it should work out. I really want to win back-to-back titles and I am excited for the weekend.

“I don’t think there is any added pressure carrying the number one plate.”

Faith will line up alongside SX-Open rookie teammate Hayden Mellross this weekend, with fellow American Weston Peick not returning to complete the series after crashing out of the penultimate round while atop the standings.
