American Josh Hill has arrived back in Australia today as he prepares to go head-to-head with Matt and Jake Moss for the 2013 Australian Supercross Championship.
Hill, 24, holds a slim five-point lead over MX Nationals champion Matt Moss (Motul Pirelli Suzuki), with Jake Moss (Campbell Mining Suzuki) just a further two points in arrears.
Since Phillip Island’s penultimate round last month Hill has spent time back in Southern California, testing with RCH Racing Suzuki after firming up a deal for 2014 in the US supercross and motocross series (click here for details).
“It is good to be back in Australia,” Hill said. “I flew home to do some testing for the AMA Supercross season and get my 2014 deal finalised.
“The main focus was on the 2014 bike, but now my attention is solely on winning 2013 Australian Supercross Championship.
“I arrived today and I will spend the next week testing and riding with Lee Hogan in Melbourne before I head to Toowoomba on Friday.
“We won’t make too many changes to the bike setup – it was pretty good at Phillip Island.
“The interest in the Australian series back home has been awesome. I have had a lot of support from the team, media, fans and of course friends and family.”
Toowoomba will host the Australian Supercross season final next Saturday, 16 November, in Queensland.
