Victorian privateer Taylor Potter has confirmed that he will campaign the 2014 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship in the East Coast Lites.

Potter made his US debut at Daytona earlier this year and put in a promising performance, now scheduled to return for an expanded assault next season.

The 23-year-old currently sits fifth in the Australian Supercross Lites Championship with one round remaining, before turning his attention to the AMA early in the new year.

It will be the beginning of a packed scheduled for Potter, eventually hoping to secure a factory deal with the Carlton Dry Honda Racing team in Australia.

“I’m focusing racing the entire AMA East Coast Supercross Championship, flying over on January 17,” Potter explained.

“My aims there are to make every main event, then race a couple of the AMA Motocross Championship, before returning to Australia and race the last half of the MX Nationals, then the Australian Supercross Championship again.

“It’ll be a long season, but my dream is to ride for the Carlton Dry Honda team next year and I’m going to work as hard as I need to in order to make it happen.”

The 2014 East Coast Lites series will commence in the US on 15 February in Arlington, Texas.
