Glen Helen returns to 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series

The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will return to Glen Helen Raceway in 2014 for the first time in five years.

The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will return to Glen Helen Raceway in 2014 for the first time in five years.

A commercial (right) was played during last weekend’s Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas, confirming the news that’s been lightly speculated in recent months.

Glen Helen last hosted the Southern Californian stop of the series in 2009, before Pala Raceway and Lake Elsinore both staged two events each.

It’s been confirmed that Glen Helen’s return is scheduled for 24 May, setting it up as one of the series’ opening rounds.

Since the 2009 running of the Glen Helen AMA outdoor national, the iconic San Bernadino-based venue has hosted two rounds of the FIM Motocross World Championship in 2010 and 2011.

The FIM Motocross of Nations event is also scheduled for Glen Helen in 2015.

MX Sports Pro Racing is yet to announce the complete 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross calendar.
