Leading high-end and performance tyre manufacturer Pirelli has increased its support of Milwaukee presents the Terex Australian Supercross Championship in 2013.

In addition to their support of the championship Pirelli continues to support privateers through their pricing and contingency program.

International Entertainment Group managing director Yarrive Konsky praised  Pirelli’s involvement in motorcycle sport in Australia, stating it is unmatched and highlights their push to improve the promotion of events, participation of riders and serviceability to privateer and teams

“Pirelli’s support is unmatched,” Konsky said. “Motocross, Supercross and Australian Superbikes don’t have control tyres which allows tyre manufactures to race against one another.

“Pirelli could put all their support to riders but selflessly they don’t, they ensure the sport is being taken to new levels, like this year with free to air television. It is through Link Internationals support that we are able to make such commitments.”

Pirelli dominated the Australian Motocross Lites and Open championships and currently holds the top three positions in the Terex Australian Supercross Lites and Open championships.

Pirelli Australia’s brand manager Don Nicholas is especially proud of their position in the sport considering the top three riders in each respective class are on production tyres anyone can choose and use.

“Customers can be confident that the tyres they are buying is what the teams and riders are winning on, so much so that they could walk up to any team and swap their tyres with them.

“At Pirelli we have a saying; we race what we sell, and we sell what we race. We are excited to have riders racing the Terex Australian Supercross  on Pirelli Scorpion MX, and to see some great racing and results for Pirelli riders so far in the championship.”

Pirelli continues to spread their support with factory teams, satellite teams and privateers choosing to use and win with Pirelli.

Gavin Faith who is accustomed to using factory product in America is pumped to be using Pirelli.

“I won on them last year and again this year,” Faith said. “I have used other brands but Pirelli offers consistent grip.

“It’s also good to know that the rider who beat me was on Pirelli, it just shows how dominant they are”.

Pirelli tyres can be found on Team Motul Pirelli Suzuki, Team KTM, Carlton Dry Honda Racing, Serco Yamaha, Raceline Suzuki and many more.

Visitors to rounds of Milwaukee presents the Terex Australian Supercross Championship are encouraged to talk to the teams during pit walks to find out more about the versatility of Pirelli tyres.
