International Entertainment Group (IEG) has confirmed that industry-leading manufacturer and marketer of heavy duty, portable electric power tools and accessories, Milwaukee Power Tools will partner the 2013 Australian Supercross Championship.
Milwaukee Power Tools will make their first foray into Supercross and join global manufacturer Terex who return as naming rights sponsor for 2013.
In addition to the presenting partnership, Milwaukee Power Tools will also reward the leading privateer in both the Pro Open and Pro Lites class with their six piece M18 tool kit and will run a series of consumer social media activations.
Milwaukee Power Tools brand manager Tom Mathiesen said the company was excited to be aligning with Australian Supercross.
“Supercross will provide Milwaukee with fantastic exposure and presents the perfect platform for us to get in front of our loyal customers across the series,” Mathiesen explained.
“It is also a great platform to launch our association with the Movember charity. Milwaukee is very passionate about promoting men’s health and we look forward to launching our activation around MotoGP.”
Today’s announcement comes amidst an exciting period for the championship, which boasts full grids for the opening rounds at Hidden Valley Raceway on 14-15 September.
IEG managing director Yarrive Konsky said he looked forward to growing the partnership with Milwaukee Power Tools.
“Supercross is where fans flock to watch action sport racing by Australia’s best riders,” Konsky said. “This year we have elite riders from America, Australia, South Africa, Japan and New Zealand competing in the most anticipated Australian championship yet.
“It is only fitting to have internationally acclaimed power tool company, Milwaukee, sponsor the six-round, free-to-air fully televised Australian Supercross Championship.
“Milwaukee recognise our fans, riders and technicians as end users and want to give back to their loyal customers by supporting the events they enjoy participating, watching and working in,” Konsky continued.
The opening round of Milwaukee presents the Terex Australian Supercross Championship will be held at Darwin’s Hidden Valley Raceway on September 14-15.
Tickets to the Darwin rounds are on sale now from www.ntmajorevents.com.au or at the gate.
