Australian talent Mackenzie Tricker has secured the Red Bull AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship Women’s (14+ class) title at Loretta Lynn’s.

Tricker, the 2012 runner-up, scored wins in the first two motos of the final before consolidating with a fourth in the third.

She was uncontested on the way to her first two wins, leading each seven-lap stanza from start to finish.

The 1-1-3 result hands her a ninth national title and her most significant yet as her career continues to grow in stature.

Tricker is the first Australian female talent to win at Loretta Lynns, and secures Australia’s first title at the event in Hurrican Mills, Tennessee, since Craig Anderson’s win in 1992.

The 18-year-old also featured in the lineup in the X Games Womens’s Moto X Racing final in Los Angeles, but after qualifying sixth she had to pull out of the race after aggravating a problematic knee injury.
